Pros : Hotel was excellent, no faults whatsoever, would definitely stay there again. Pros : Staff were all very friendly. Dinner was brilliant, in both the bar and the restaurant. Cons : The air con in the room is quite loud. No bottles of water in the bedrooms is a bit of an oversight. The cases being kept behind reception for guests looks really messy. Quite a long time to get checked in. Cons : Hotel offered babysitting services in their booklet but when we enquired from one receptionist they said they didn't offer it yet some of the other staff were not aware of the change Also the pool was quite cold hence why it was almost empty when we used it ok if your doing something but not when you have children.
The Benwiskin Centre. With a TV lounge and spacious garden, this self-catering hostel provides free parking and Wi-Fi in all public areas. Private rooms have an en suite shower and toilet. Towels can be rented from the property for a surcharge. A popular local activity includes hiking at the nearby Benwiskin includes a walk or drive around the panoramic Gleniff Horseshoe Valley. The nearest beach at Mullaghmore, on the Wild Atlantic Way, is just over 8 km away. Ballintrillick is rich in history with a ruined abbey and ancient graveyard.
The village of Cliffoney is a minute drive from The Benwiskin Centre. Pros : Relaxed atmosphere , good parking facilities, excellent in house facilities, fantastic refurbishment. Pros : This place is wonderful. Yes, it is slightly off the beaten track, about 10 mins but well worth the effort to stay there. Staff very helpful and such a great quiet spot at the base of the mountain.
Very clean, new and fresh. Cons : Green ceiling lights permanently on in bedroom makes sleeping difficult. Surely they should only kick in IF the power goes off. Feels like daylight. Other travelers mentioned this in the kitchen area in the morning. Otherwise lovely. Pros : Me and my friends stayed for only one night, checking-in late over the advised hour for checkin. The host was really kind to guide us and provide options which perfectly fit our plan.
There was a private bathroom in the room with a hot shower. The kitchen was large a spacious with a great view. The location is in a quiet area, which we needed to have a good sleep. Cons : The bathroom was clean but had very basic stuff only. No breakfast options were available. Just the usual kitchen tools.
We had to prepare breakfast with our own products. Pros : The hostel seemed to have been repainted with new furniture shortly before we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of social spaces outside of our room. Pros : A great hostel, unobtrusive staff, great facilities and the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in or seen. Pros : Beautiful countryside location. Stunning lounge.
Great beds in family rooms with lovely garden views and very clean and safe.
Loved having private en-suite. Would definitely stay again.
Would have been really useful to have oil to cook with. Pros : The location is amazing, very close to the Horseshoe drive and Benwiskin and Ben Bulben mountains. Staff are very friendly and care about recycling rubbish. Cons : the hot shower did not work in the morning. The most annoying thing is the small green light in the ceiling, i think it is for the fire alarm and this light illuminates the whole room. The hostel were full and they were all watching football in the common room so we had to sit in our bedroom in the evening.
The Glasshouse. Self parking subject to charges is available onsite. Pros : Fabulous!

Very happy with room and service. I also had them book a taxi for me to get to an event and it was on time. Cons : Something minor brighter lights by bathroom mirror. For outside, a table with chairs for rooms with balconies. Pros : We liked the location ,the staff were excellent, and all food was delicious ,. Cons : We didn't like being allocated a room beside a hen party who were drunk and very loud up to 4 am , Surely a couple of our age group should not have been allocated a room so near to a rowdy hen party. Cons : The room was v cold. Receptionist wasn't v helpful and none of their computers worked when we were checking out so we were held up for ages leaving other customers held up too as she was on her own.
Oh man I wish we were in Sligo for longer. Upon check-in, the girl at the front desk gave us a ton of recommendations for what to do that evening. And I loved the crazy-ass look of the place. Oh and the breakfast buffet had tons of choices. So it's possible we paid twice for breakfast, OR it was just a miscommunication. Pros : Fabulous location with on site parking. Only 4E per day which was very reasonable considering what we paid in other cities. Our room overlooked the river which was lovely.
Easy walking into the city area for restaurants and other attractions. Sligo is not a large city but it's lovely with the bridges, walking areas and nice restaurant and pubs. Cons : We were directly across from the conference rooms but they handled it well and there was no annoying noise.
Pros : Great location. We had a great room overlooking the river with a balcony. I would recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed. Pros : Arrived to lovely welcome and surprised to be informed that we got a free upgrade to Top Floor amazing apartment room with views over Sligo :- :- Made our Trip - Thansk so much guys :- Highly recommended.
Pros : Staff were very friendly especially those in the restaurant. They had a great meal special for the Thursday night. Great views from the balcony in our room. Cons : Breakfast is below par. There is plenty of it but not as fresh as you would expect. Pros : The location was amazing - close to the lively local bars and all the shops. Primark was literally at the back door and the Garvogue was out the front! Everything was very relaxed and clean. The room was a great size and had a beautiful balcony looking out onto the river.
The staff were polite and helpful. For breakfast we ate in the room and ordered speciality coffees, which we got - a lovely treat as in some hotels it's filter coffee only. All-in-all the breakfast was lovely with a great choice of options. This really is the perfect hotel to enjoy the best of the heart of Sligo!

Cons : We were given no information about the restaurant when checking in so when we got ready in the evening and came down for dinner we have missed last orders by 15mins and had to eat at the bar. The food was still lovely - but we had set the night aside for a meal in the restaurant as a treat. When we were checking in we also paid for parking, however when checking out they told us we had not.
When we explained, the receptionist told us that we had paid but that the person checking us in had miscalculated and we owed more. It was a minor amount so we didn't kick up a fuss but it was strange and a little unprofessional. The hotel is very clean and tidy but the decor was a bit wacky for me just a personal thing. Pros : we stayed here as we had a wedding in the area, hotel is in a good location, staff was nice they called a taxi for us and then called our room number to tell us another couple going to the same wedding was getting a taxi and wondered did we want to travel together.
All in all a good experience. Cons : check in says 3 but when we arrived at 3. Pros : Attended for a wedding Staff very helpful and very friendly Beds very comfy. Cons : Think outside could do with a change. Looks like a leisure complex in areas. Parts of bar area could be cleaned better. Pros : Food was excellent and Sharon handled a check out issue brilliantly. Cons : Cleanliness of my room. The kettle was far from clean and one of my bed covers appeared to have dried blood on it. Pros : we did not have breakfast but the food at wedding was great and we really enjoy the pool the next morning.
Pros : Pleasant and helpful staff always willing to help great facilities. Good light in the room. Cons : The place off the main reception looks tired. Needs a face lift, corridors could do with a fresh coat of paint. Cleanliness was disappointing.
